Membership Dues
Annual dues for Temple of Israel is $100 per year.

Membership Priviledges
There really are no special priviledges for Temple members. We members pay our dues, from a of a sense of loyalty and responsibility to maintain the continued well being of the building. However, being a member does entitle each member to a free cemetery plot at the Dalton Cemetery.

High Holidays
Because we have no Rabbi, the Temple is closed for the High Holidays. However, we do observe, in addition to weekly Shabbos services, Yiskor services during Passover and Succos.

* It should also be noted that over the past 57 years of continued, uninterrupted service as president, Isadore Steckel had tried to resign, but because of his dedicated service, the congregation would not allow it. This past May, 2005, board memeber, Michael Weinberg submitted Isadore Steckel's name to Guiness World Records as the "longest serving president." Whether or not, he is recognized, by Guiness, as the record holder is not in itself important. What is important is that Isadore "Izzy" Steckel's amazing accomplishment be officially noted by the congregation and community which he has served so diligently over these past 57 years.

** Our dear friends, and board members, David Bruckner and Joseph Goodman, have recently passed away. Their kindness, and lifelong dedication to Judaism, to Torah and to the Congregation of the Temple of Israel of Dunmore will always be a beacon of light in our hearts. In blessed memory, we shall never forget them.
