The HERC offers partial and full scholarships for teachers to attend the annual PA Holocaust Education Task Force Winter Conference in Philadelphia and the Teachers Institute of the Scholars Conference on the Holocaust and the Churches when it is held within driving distance. Scholarship funds are received from the Jewish Federation of Northeastern Pennsylvania, from private donations and from an annual gift provided by the local Jewish War Veterans.

Our eventual goal is to help fund Summer training institutes held at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., and to send teachers to the Summer Institute on the Holocaust and Antisemitism of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem which is held in conjunction with, and at, Yad Vashem's International School for Holocaust Studies, Jerusalem, Israel. This goal can only be achieved through the generosity of donors or through a special endowment fund.
